How will the successful applicant be decided?

The application process is a competitive one, meaning that applications will be assessed against each other on merit. There are three criteria that applications will be assessed against:

  1. The potential impact of the scholarship on the successful applicant and their work in the wider community;
  2. The diversity of ideas and thinking that the successful applicant can bring to the digital champions program; and
  3. The applicant’s understanding of and commitment to the requirements of the program.

What time and other commitments will the successful applicant need to make?

The program requires the successful organisation to commit two people to the program. These two people are expected to spend a minimum of two hours each a week on the delivery of their projects. In addition, they are expected to attend each of the four quarterly one day intensives (alternating between Melbourne and Sydney). Flights and other travel expenses are not covered by the scholarship.

Who is eligible to apply?

Applications are open to Not-for-Profit and other for-purpose organisations based in Australia. Due to the expected time investment it is ideally suited to organisations with 20 to 200 employees but smaller organisations are welcome to apply.

What do scholarships pay?

There is no formal payment made to the successful applicants.

One full scholarship will cover the full 12-month membership fees for the  Digital Champions Club and two half scholarships will cover 50% of the 12-month membership fees for the Digital Champions Club.  In all cases, the duration of the award is for up to one year.

The in-kind value of the full scholarship is $14,400.00 (exclusive of GST). The in-kind value of each of the half scholarship is $7,200.00 (exclusive of GST).

The awards are not redeemable for cash equivalent.

When does the scholarship run from and to?

The scholarship will start in January 2020 and run through to December 2020. During this time, the successful applicant will receive 12 one-on-one coaching sessions, four full-day, face-to-face intensives plus access to all other benefits that full fee-paying members receive.

I’ve applied for the scholarship. When will I find out if I am successful?

Submissions are open until midnight on 31 October 2019. After which a shortlist will be compiled for a follow-up interview. We will let you know by 14 November via email whether you have made the shortlist or not. Interviews with the shortlisted applicants will take place before the end of November with the successful applicant being confirmed by the first week of December.

How do I know if my application has been received?

You will receive an email confirmation via our form software Jotforms noting that your application has been received. Please check your spam folder if you can’t immediately find it.
