Troubleshoot Zoom streaming (the Arena)

Video or camera isn’t working

  1. Test your video via the the following link (https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362313-How-Do-I-Test-My-Video-)
  2. If your camera is not showing up in the options list (at the bottom of the video screen) or it is selected and not showing any video, please follow the steps below to troubleshoot:
    1. Windows
      1. Make sure that all other programs that utilise the camera are not using the camera or are closed.
      2. Reboot your computer to ensure that the camera is not being used by another application.
      3. Visit your device’s support and downloads page to update the camera driver (see links below)
    2. Mac
      1. Make sure that all other programs that utilize the camera are not using the camera or are closed.
      2. Reboot your computer to ensure that the camera is not being used by another application.
      3. If the video still isn’t working and you are running MacOS 10.7 then you may need to delete some files within the Quicktime folder. Instructions can be found here (Camera video is unavailable on a Mac running OS 10.7)
    3. Linux
      1. Make sure that all other programs that utilize the camera are not using the camera or are closed.
      2. Reboot your computer to ensure that the camera is not being used by another application.
    4. Android
      1. Ensure that you have connected your video by selecting ‘Video’ once in a Zoom meeting.
      2.  Ensure that no other applications are using the camera at the same time. You can do this by holding the “Home” button and then swiping right to close the application.
      3. Ensure that you have allowed Zoom to have the privilege to access your camera under “Settings>>Application Manager>>Zoom”.  If this has not been set, please reinstall as shown in step 4.
      4. Please uninstall Zoom from the Application Manager and reinstall from the Play Store.
    5. iOS
      1. If your camera is off, please select “Video” and ensure you have your camera selected.
      2. Ensure that no other applications, such as “Camera” are not currently using your camera. You can check which applications are currently running by double tapping the “Home” button . To close the application, please swipe up.
      3. Please select “Settings”>>”Zoom” and ensure that Zoom has access to your camera.

Audio isn’t working

  1. If your audio isn’t working properly, ensure that the audio settings are configured properly according to your operating system:
    1. Windows
    2. Mac

Meeting won’t launch from Google Chrome

  1. The Zoom Client is launched via Launch Application in Google Chrome. You may have selected “Do Nothing” while the “Remember my choice for all links of this type” option was selected, causing Chrome to remember to do nothing when this request is made to launch Zoom.To remove this setting and allow the application to launch, follow the instructions below:
